Chris is a trial lawyer with over 20 years of courtroom experience as both a lawyer and a judge. He is rated "AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer review rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. Chris has extensive trial experience representing people in both state and federal court in Oregon. Chris served as a full-time Judge Pro Tem for the Multnomah County Circuit Court from 2004-2010 and re-entered private practice at Pickett Dummigan LLP in 2011. Chris continues to serve as a part-time Judge Pro Tem for the State of Oregon and teaches the "Share the Road” traffic law and safety class at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland. Chris has served four terms as an elected member of the Oregon State Bar House of Delegates and is a member of the Traffic Safety Coordination Committee and Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety Committee for the Portland Bureau of Transportation. An avid cyclist, Chris is a frequent speaker - both locally and nationally - in traffic law and safety and is a strong advocate for bicycle, pedestrian and motor vehicle safety. A native Oregonian, Chris and his family enjoy running Oregon’s wild and scenic rivers in his wood drift boat in the summer and hitting the ski slopes in the winter.
